New Zealand 5 Cent Tataura Coin Ring - Size US 7

350.00

Chosen from my personal coin collection for the beautifully rendered animal design, a Tautara pullin itself up over the shore rocks. This New Zealand 5c coin has been set in fine and sterling silver. The chunky signet style setting features two blossoms on each side.

This heavy ring has a comfy wide tapered channel band. The sides features the letters NZ on heavy texture.

Makers mark and .925 are stamped on the outside reverse of the band.

The coin itself has been minted in copper-nickel, and set in such a way that no part of the coin contacts the skin. It has only been left open on the face. Inside the band is solid sterling silver.

About the coin: These coins were demonetized and withdrawn from circulation in 2006 and many will have been melted down. The tuatara is a native lizard to New Zealand and one of the oldest of all living reptiles. It grows up to 0.6m in length and can be traced back 180 million years.

This ring is a US size 7 and cannot be resized. It is one of a kind.

Care:
As with all handmade and one-of-a-kind jewelry, utmost care should be taken to keep jewelry clean and dry. Never wear your pieces while bathing, swimming, or washing dishes to avoid having them submerged in water. Bones and stones are porous and susceptible to become weak when they get wet. Metals can tarnish and lose their patinas more quickly if they get wet or washed with chemicals frequently. Also, please remove your pieces before any strenuous activities as they are fragile and parts could be knocked loose or fall out. Treat your jewelry like the unique piece of art that it is and it will remain in good condition for ages.

Shipping and Policies: This item is ready to ship. Please allow 1-3 days while your payment clears before being shipped. Please read both my shipping and policies pages before making your purchase.
